Education for Poors / Orphans
Most of the children in Dolpa have no access to modern education and schooling. Due to geographic and climatic conditions there exists poverty and literacy rates are very low. DBSC is helping some children educate in Kathmandu and India through charity and donations of generous people.
The premise is a strong grounding in one's heritage will help foster a sense of individual worth and civic responsibility. To this purpose all deserving students will be admitted to the school irrespective of their family economic status. Tuition, room and board will be provided free of charge for all students. Scholarship will be given to highly motivated students from poor families.
The local community cannot cover the costs for the school on their own, therefore we are seek support and assistance. Any contribution, however small, will help to realize the project. Donors may also wish a to support the school with annual contributions to help making long term plans. In future we plan to establish a fund for assisting less privileged families with their children education. To establish the school we need an adequate building and competent as well as motivated Tibetan, Hindi and English teachers and school equipment.
